Discovering My Ancestry
I discovered a few surprises
Learning about my ancestry has always fascinated me. I’ve always been interested in learning more about my ancestors and where I came from. It’s like putting a puzzle together, piece by piece.
As far as my ethnicity goes, I’ve always known that I had Hispanic (Mexican) ethnicity and German ethnicity in me which includes the Pennsylvania Dutch. It’s what I’ve always told anyone that would ask. However, as I discovered, there’s more to me than that. I took one of those DNA tests from Ancestry and the ethnicity estimate results were expected at first glance and then I was given a bit of a surprise.
Not only am I of Mexican and German ancestry, but I also have England and Northwestern Europe, as well as a fraction (but still worthy to note) of Sweden and Denmark ethnicity in me.
