Living in a modern, fast-paced lifestyle, staying busy is something I do to show productivity. I constantly push to get more done, adding more tasks to my to-do list. But I was so wrong about productivity.
Moving out of the busy city to embrace a digital nomad lifestyle was exciting but challenging. I struggled to go slow, as associates were lazy. At first, I constantly felt guilty and anxious about going slow.
Slowing down is essential for giving our minds time to recuperate. When we rush, we often feel stressed and overwhelmed emotionally. When we rush to accomplish more tasks, mistakes occur.
Adopting a slower pace is a great way to give ourselves time to think, enabling us to make wiser decisions. Yet, we often rush through tasks without pausing to reflect. Our never-ending to-do list continues to grow.
