Time is contagious, everyone is getting old. As youth slowly slips away, it comes the heavy feeling of stress and fear, especially when I felt left behind with the social norm.

Aging brings fear, but no one can stop time. In this article, I will discuss several reasons why I’m scared of getting old, the solutions and what is good about being more mature.
The Social Clock and Annoying “Optimal Age” Thingy.
Life often feels like it’s full of “deadlines” — whether it’s education, career, marriage, or other milestones. These societal expectations create constant pressure and worry about ageing, which is inevitable but often feared.
Many people feel like they are valued only as tools for social progress rather than being allowed to be their true selves. This contributes to age anxiety. Such anxiety stems from societal pressure and negative attitudes towards aging, where there is a widespread fear that getting older means losing value and being left behind. This fear is based on a limited and biased view of what aging truly means.
