I am deeply moved by the way his simple yet powerful actions continue to resonate with people across the world.
His journey offers a profound reminder of the strength we can summon in times of unimaginable hardship. The lesson that resonates most with me is the idea that love and responsibility can transform even the most insurmountable burdens into something we can carry.

In the aftermath of World War II, one of the most poignant images to emerge from the devastation in Japan is of a boy carrying his dead younger brother on his back, waiting at a crematorium in Nagasaki. The photo, taken by U.S. military photographer Joe O’Donnell, captures the silent strength of this child in a moment that has since become a symbol of resilience, love, and brotherhood.
