I Appreciate You: A Personal Story
What does the awkwardness in making videos have to do with the new moon?
There is a ritual I adore so much that it’s stuck around since its conception, nearly two decades ago. Maybe I value its simplicity as it involves nothing more than bringing my attention to a single word daily for a few weeks. The entire ritual can be described in just one small paragraph:
During the New Moon, I plant the seed of this intention (word) close to my heart. Next, I observe it grow in the weeks to come. Finally, even if it caused a bit of a stir, as often is the case (hehe), I acknowledge its contribution to my life when the full moon comes.
And speaking of planting seeds, here’s a video that explores this very topic. Seeds related to our deepest aspirations, the things we are most passionate about, and the distinction between relating with the connections we most (or least) wish to nurture.
Coincidentally, this video illustrates my process of arriving at today’s new moon’s magic word — Appreciation
