I’m Stingy About Spending Money!
I Don’t Want to Spend a Dime, It is and Is Not the Problem!
As far back as I can remember, when I worked my first job at 18, I was clueless about how to save money, only spend it. I remember one time when I got my paycheck, cashed it and not even one hour later I had blew 105.00 on gaming merchandise. This was back when Southlake Mall was in its prime.
By the time I was in college, I was working a job I hated and that took a lot of sleep away from me. It was barely minimum wage. Spending money was something I always did because I wanted what I wanted right then, saving money and time be damned!
It wasn’t until I started getting tax refunds that I was trying to slowly put money away for that rainy day. When I got my tax refund back in ’23, I made some very foolish buys and it cost 3 quarters of my tax refund that year.
This year, I swore that I’d save money no matter the cost and even though I got scammed out of 1300.00, I’m looking to make that back and bogart it. Pardon the expression.
But you know, the thing with me is that I found that I’m stingy when it comes to money not so much spending it on necessities but spending it on things that are not necessities.
