Ambition Can’t Wait
I was a junior/senior in high school, and all I knew was that I wanted to be like the federal agents on TV, working on computers to solve crime.
I was looking for an undergraduate degree in computer security in the Greater Philadelphia Area. In 2016, most universities only offered a computer science degree out of the engineering school's closet, with maybe one class in security. That’s when Drexel University got onto my tour list.
Drexel University, located in University City in Philadelphia, was the opposite of what I wanted—a large university in a major city. My dad convinced me to take the university tour just to confirm that I knew it wasn’t what I wanted. So, in the heat of summer, we drove to the city and went to a university open house that changed everything.
