My Journey Into Marketing
Growing up, my parents would often mockingly say, “When everyone goes right, you go left.” Little did they know, their words would become my guiding principle in life.
I’ve never been one to conform to the status quo. Instead, I prefer doing things my own way. Whether it was expressing myself through sketching, painting, or diving into deep, uncharted conversations, I’ve consistently defied the norms.
Their mockery fueled my determination to stand out, to explore the unexplored, and to carve my own unique path. While others may have seen it as rebellion, for me, it was a quest for authenticity and creative freedom.
Their teasing eventually led me to marketing.
I always craved a career that wouldn’t confine me to strict rules and logic but instead offered the freedom to tell stories, craft engaging narratives, and where strategy took center stage.
In marketing, I found the perfect blend of creativity and strategy. It’s a realm where I can think outside the box, experiment with different ideas, and connect with people on a deeper level. Whether it’s devising an ad campaign or developing a brand story that resonates with audiences, I’m constantly challenged to think creatively and strategically.
I began my journey in marketing as a content marketer, helping brands in creating content and growing their audiences. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to explore new avenues and ventured into launching my own e-commerce brand.
The experience was exhilarating, providing me with a rush of dopamine and pushing me to explore territories I wouldn’t have otherwise considered. It was during this entrepreneurial journey that I stumbled upon the concept of “Design Thinking”. It resonated with me deeply, offering a creative approach to problem-solving that prioritized empathy, creativity, and innovation.
