I hated online dating until I changed one thing about my approach.
Egg-cellent.
How I Used To Date
I used to date one person at a time.
My logic was that I should give this one person my full attention.
Give it my best shot and if it didn’t work out, it is what it is.
It made sense to me.
What happened instead was that it led me to be anxious about where I was at dating wise.
I wasn’t totally sure if this person was right for me.
Then, I met someone that changed my perspective on dating.
Over committing too early
What I ended up realizing was that if I dated one person at a time, I over invested into them.
Hence the phrase: don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
That’s not to say I was avoiding commitment.
I just found myself over committing before I truly knew they were the right fit.
I had no one else to give me a relative standpoint.
If I had been seeing another person at the same time, I would’ve had a reference point.
