Our three dimensions: Body, Mind and Emotion

According to Hindu and Buddhist philosophies, we are made up of 3 parts: our body, our mind and our emotions. As long as there is harmony in these areas, everything flows beautifully. But what happens when there is a dysfunction in one of those?

First of all, we often only associate our diet or our weight with the body. Thus, we get into a perpetual internal monologue, constantly judging ourselves for our eating practises.

However, our body is not just our fat and muscles.

It is the medium that brought us into this life. It came here and it will leave here in short order. Clearly we need to take care of it, but in no way should we judge others by their appearance. So when the body malfunctions, the other areas have problems.

For example, we cannot move properly or do any exercise, we cannot study (physical concentration) or receive inner satisfaction. In this way, we reach a frustration that ultimately leads to suffering.

As for the mind, when it is underactive, we cannot speak rightly, act rightly and think rightly, and as a result we do not have progress. We want the quick gratification, but in the…
