Overeating, the Struggle — Update!
It’s all about self control!
Okay, so it’s time for an update on my whole overeating deal as far as the control goes. So, I’ve gotten to a point where I can control my cravings where I don’t need to have extra food when I go to work.
My strategy and that has been working is, I’ll have lunch at home, chew some sugarfree gum which turns me off from wanting anything else to eat and it stops me from asking for anything else to eat on top of that.
I get one Carbonara a week, it was two this time because of my trip I went on plus this past Saturday, my wife took my children and her relatives to her mothers so I didn’t have a plan for dinner that so I had that.
But, the thing is though is that I’m no longer controlled by my cravings and I like to think that I’ve conquered temptation in its purest form. This is what makes working in a kitchen a bit of a hardship, you’re surrounded by food that you can get made on a regular but I know it’s food I don’t need.
I felt like this struggle to not overeat was just one more challenge for me to overcome and it took a while but I finally got it under control, it makes me proud of the fact that I’m taking active steps to not give into my cravings.
