Show up to Shine.
You show up and it matters.
“Discipline and Consistency”
were the words used by my professor when asked about the key to success and staying on the top of your game.
Not just that, our athletes too believe it and their performances proved it.
Virat Kohli, in one of the match interview during the India vs South Africa ODI (One Day International) series emphasised on :
Shaping his mindset and giving his 100% performance every time he steps on field.
His 52 ODI hundreds, match winning ability and fitness is a testimone to that.
Sunil Chhetri, on one of his interviews with Cred, highlighted
The significance of being consistent despite any challenges you may face in life, if you want that goal badly.
Today, that same consistency made him the face of Indian football.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team , played her first World Cup in 2009 and despite the lows, kept showing up. Until, we all saw her lifting the World Cup trophy on 3rd November 2025, at Navi Mumbai.
The first Women’s World Cup India won.
Being disciplined, doing the same thing over and over again is boring. It is tough to be consistent when there are constant distractions around.
- Your favourite song playing somewhere the moment you try to focus.
- That one ping sound from your phone, right when you say “Now enough.”
- The time when you randomly start thinking about anything and everything
- The moment when the “What Ifs?” strike your thoughts
Like me, I’m sure you faced it too. And it is okay.
It matters when you show up. Still on it. Even if it is 10% or 20% on some days. Intensity may last a few days or months. But consistency? Keeps you going for long. It eventually compounds to that one day, where you realise what a journey you witnessed by small contributions made daily.
So, I am proud that you never give up. Every single time, even when things are tough. It is all gonna be worth it, trust me.
Simply keep going and let your efforts shine brighter!
