Some changes are painful but necessary.
It’s better to be painful than live with a fake smile.
Life is full of challenges that we must accept. If we do not accept reality, it feels as if we are trying to fit into places without room for us.
Remember, when there is no space in someone’s heart for you, it’s not worth trying to fit in. Pushing yourself into those situations diminishes your value and makes you seem adjustable, rather than significant.
Your worth in the eyes of others should be determined by you, not by how much you shrink your personality to fit into someone else’s life.
Constantly trying to adapt for the sake of being included will only hurt you and won’t make sense to others. Therefore, focus on establishing your values instead of forcing yourself to be adjustable.
The discussion I’ve had above reflects a fundamental aspect of our nature: we often try to do good for others at the expense of our self-respect. We do this for the people we care about and love. However, when we don’t receive a similar response in return, it can be very painful.
What I’m trying to express is that some changes are necessary, even if they are painful.
