Surviving An Internet Outage!

This is why it helps to have new consoles and old!

As far back as I can remember, outages were about as common as the pennies and dimes you’d find on the sidewalk. Power outages used to get to me when I was a kid, now I embrace the darkness as it is my “element”. But, there’s another type of outage that is the most ANNOYING of all. Internet outage!

Yesterday, I was without internet for 16 hours. Now, I tried calling the internet company and first, I got nothing. I assumed they weren’t open, fine. Accepted.

Then, at the behest of my wife’s friend, I called them back and got someone. Before I go on, its worth noting that thanks to a suggestion by my wife, I used my hotspot on my phone to ‘internet jump’ my PS4 and the Roku in my room and in my kid’s room as well as my living room not to mention my computer.

Unfortunately, it was only a temporary thing because somewhere around the late night, the devices, all of them, lost access to the internet sending all owners of the devices into what would’ve been a downward spiral of boredom, mental decay and complacent anger.

However, that was not the case. My wife and her friend was playing my wife’s retro game console consisting of over 10,000+ games. I was playing my PS3 at first but since I couldn’t access the game I…
