It was May 2021 and the pandemic raged like never before. The feared Delta wave was wreaking havoc. Total lockdown prevailed throughout the entire globe for a second time. More job losses, more businesses shutting down, travels grounded indefinitely, not to mention the ongoing terror of the virus itself.
During this horrendous time, I made a tough choice to quit my job. I had no other job lined up and was leaving behind my only source of income, along with A$12000 worth of stocks. I had a huge home loan and had medical expenses to bear.
Most would call me insane, or an utter fool. But I was only trying to save my sanity.
I wanted to escape from hell.
This post is about the events that led to my choices and the things I learned along the way.
