Dear About Me Readers,

Another week and another opportunity to dive deep into the world of a writer to uncover their inspirations, hard won wisdom and meet the person behind the pen.

This week we are sitting down with the new to Medium, Amelia Johannsen, a writer, creator and artist.

So, let’s get started. Amelia, could you tell us a little bit about the kind of writing you do here on Medium?

Certainly, I see myself primarily as an art blogger with a special focus on ceramic art. My writing is a means to document my personal journey and experiences as an artist and art-lover. I hope to convey my passion for ceramics and make this reemerging art form more accessible to a broader audience.

In addition to my own discoveries, I engage with other creatives and offer unique perspectives on the art scene in Barcelona — where I’ve called home for almost 20 years. My interactions with artists working in other mediums serve as an opportunity for me to learn and to share their valuable insights with my readers. It’s a way for me to connect with fellow enthusiasts and to foster a sense of community within the international art scene.
