The Eclectic Writer
An Interview with Lynn L. Alexander
Dear About Me Readers,
Another week and another opportunity to dive deep into the world of a writer to uncover their inspirations, hard won wisdom and meet the person behind the pen. This week we are sitting down with the lovely Lynn L. Alexander for a moment, a writer and editor who has played with greeting cards, the ‘for Dummies’ series of published books, newspaper journalism, and textbooks before Medium, and so has plenty of experience to share.
So, let’s get started. Lynn, could you tell us a little bit about the kind of writing you do here on Medium?
My writing is quite eclectic. I write about serious topics such as my journey with ovarian cancer and the devastating grief from losing my beloved mother five years ago. I have written over 20 articles about my mother including grief, the last weeks of her life, as well as funny moments we have shared.
When I first joined Medium, I wrote quite a bit of poetry due to answering poetry prompts. I never thought I would be writing poetry again.
I also dabble in writing about entertainment news or stories about television shows and movie trivia.
