The Story of My Determination
From a Child’s Dream to Medical School
Dreams often begin in childhood — innocent, pure, and almost playful. But for some, those dreams take deep root, shaping every choice, every effort, and every sacrifice. My dream was born when I was in the fifth grade: I wanted to become a doctor.
Even at that young age, I carried my ambition in the smallest of ways. Whenever I wrote something, I tried to mimic the handwriting style of doctors — the quick, almost unreadable script that everyone associates with them. I would proudly show it to my classmates, saying with joy, “Look at my writing! Doesn’t it look like a doctor’s handwriting?” My friends would laugh and encourage me, and though they saw it as a child’s game, for me it was the seed of determination.
Inspiration from My School
After completing primary school, I was admitted to a new school some distance from my home. There, in the principal’s office, hung a large honor board. It displayed the names of students who had topped the school’s matriculation exams. Among those names was one I knew very well — my elder brother’s.
