It is rough.

It is raw.

It is beautiful.

Own the journey.

I realised there is so much shame reserved.

It’s exhausting, isn’t it? How people will shame you no matter what you do. Just as if they’re always ready to place you under a microscope, not to understand—but to judge

For simply choosing a path that doesn’t match someone else’s idea of what your life should look like.

But here’s what I’ve learnt:

Shame has many forms. It can be loud or subtle, blatant or passive-aggressive. But no matter how it shows up, you must be ready.

When Shame Comes Knocking

When the shame servers emerge—the people who insist on bringing up your flaws, your failures, or your past as a punchline or a warning—stand tall. Look them in the eye, and say with every ounce of conviction: Not today. Not ever.

Because the truth is, you’ve probably been shamed for things you couldn’t even control.
