New Introductions to About Me Stories!

About Me — Aki Den

I’d like to believe that every person is a story, and mine begins in 2002. I was born on a November afternoon. It was still warm, but a chill would whisper into the air during the mornings and evenings. Sometimes I feel like that November weather has instilled itself into me; I’m warm during the day, and a lonely chill creeps into me at night. Perhaps my November-ness was fated.

About Me — Calista Agoha

I’m Calista, a writer since forever, a voracious reader, and a compulsive note-taker. These habits are a big part of my life, and I don’t go a day without writing, reading, or taking notes on anything worth taking down.

About Me — Just P.A.U.L.A

And I got my wish. I experienced joy, excitement, adrenaline, and passion. And also loneliness, desperation, mind entrapment, and the most painful of heartbreaks. All whilst living in 6 major cities on 3 continents. The heartbreak was eventually mended by new love and self-love. Which sounds easy as a few words on a screen but it may have been the hardest thing I had to learn to do.

About Me — Aurelia Bliss

“Who am I?” is surprisingly the hardest question ever. When I was asked to write an “About Me” article I mulled over just how to do that in the best manner that gave a complete picture. I like telling stories directly from my experiences as autobiographical vignettes. Certain experiences jump out and demand attention, and when they do I give in to them. But a more global picture of myself? Whew — I was stumped.

About Me — Alexander Semenyuk

The time has come for me to write the “About me” post. After writing so many books, poems and stories you’d think this would be an easy one, but writing about yourself is never so simple, at least for me. So I decided I will do it in an interview format!

About Me — Nikolaos Skordilis

In Sparta I did basic training for 4 months, then I was sent to Komotini in Northern Greece -close to the border with Turkey- for another 7 months and the last camp I served was in Athens -far from where I lived- for yet another 8 months.

About Me — Michelle A. Cmarik

For most of my adult life, writing caused me more anxiety than pleasure. In college and graduate school I sometimes pulled all-nighters to compose two or even three drafts of the same paper because I could never quite shape it in a way that felt right.

About Me — Kashish Sukhija

I enjoy learning new things to better understand what is happening in the world. It’s overwhelming to realize how much we all can learn, but I think it’s important to be aware of what’s happening around us. So, you’ll get to know things I learned after applying them in my life.

About Me — Brian Fairchild

A couple of weeks later, I received a reply from CIA officer Michael Todorovich. It provided a virtual blueprint on how to do it.

He suggested that I gain some military experience, so at eighteen, I joined the Green Berets enlisting with the 19th Special Forces Group.

About Me — Camille Prairie

I’m Camille! Maybe you know me, or maybe you don’t, but either way, you ended up on this page, and with the seasoned attitude of a 24-year-old girl who has a 64-year-old soul in her body, I’m going to tell you that you should come to sit a spell, sugah, as my grandmother would have said in her lilting Vah-ginia accent.

About Me — Teodor Janez Podobnik

For me, I’m only interested in one thing. The thing that binds us all together. No matter who you are or what your profession is — whether you’re an entrepreneur or in sales or a designer or a developer — no matter what you do, your job is to tell a story.

About Me — Michael J Corey

Oakland is my fault. I was born there, so blame me. “It’s a strange place.” You can say that about everywhere I’ve been, and that’s a lot of wheres — Casablanca, the summit of Mt. Snowden, Whitehorse, the tomb of Tamerlane, the Isle of Capri. Probably the closest to an unstrange place I’ve visited is Central Nebraska, and my desire to return is modest at best.

About Me — Pat Romito LaPointe

I have four grown daughters. Two are twins. A rather incompetent obstetrician was so sure there was only one. Ha! Number two fooled you as well as their dad and me, both nineteen years old and Dad a sophomore in college. I think I drove the Doc crazy during my last two pregnancies by asking if he was sure several times each visit.

About Me — Brian G Ross

This is the moment when you realize that you have all this space to write about yourself, but actually, nothing interesting or new to say. Then again, that hasn’t stopped me in the past, so…

About Me — Subhi Najar

For a while, the teacher and classmates mocked him, calling him “the alchemist of words”. It was those who mistreated and bullied that kid who gave him the most precious gift ever. Without knowing, they planted in his brain and heart all the seeds of persistence required to deserve that name.

About Me — Siobhan Colgan

I championed artists and experienced the thrill of opening nights. I watched plays. I read books. I immersed myself in the world of arts. And it was all brilliant until it wasn’t.

Until I realized that while I was writing press releases and watching other folks get their work published and presented, my writing work was suffering.
