“You carry your universe inside you.” — Unknown.

Have you ever felt completely comfortable in your thoughts, with all outside worlds too loud for comfort?

That’s how I’ve always been. On this World Introverts Day, I’m reflecting on what it means to embrace this quiet strength.

Being an introvert isn’t about avoiding people, it’s about finding energy in solitude. I enjoy meaningful conversations over small talk and quiet reflection.

Much as part of our culture celebrates extroverted traits — sociability, outspokenness, friendliness, but introspective deserves a place highlighted with World Introverts Day.

For me, being an introvert means thinking before speaking, watching before acting, and celebrating solitary time.

It means recharging my being so that I can give my best while dealing with the people I love most. But this was not something easy to embrace.

There were times when I struggled to fit into an outgoing mold, but after all those years, I have learned that introversion is, in fact, my superpower.
This day serves to change the picture.

It is meant for the dreamers, thinkers, and quiet creators who usually go unrecognized but whose impact is indeed great.

Isn’t it great to feel misunderstood sometimes, fellow introverts?

Or, is that time really important and should be enjoyed alone?

Take a minute today to honor thy world.

You should really get it straight that being an introvert does not mean — you are shy or antisocial; you simply draw your strength from your own presence.

“Introverts live in two worlds: We visit the world of people, but solitude and reflection is our home.” — Jenn Granneman.

What is your favorite thing about being introverted?
