General Manager, Moving
Miso is searching for someone who will lead a new initiative into the moving business. We already provide deep cleaning when customers move but think it’s cumbersome to look in one place for a mover and another for a cleaner. So we want Miso to be the go to destination for both services. Miso needs to be #1 in every business we enter and we will expect no less in the moving business. In order to succeed, you will need to manage both the supply and demand aspects of the business but also work closely with the product/engineering and marketing teams.
This is an intense business side startup role and continual improvement and a focus on quality are imperative. Operational excellence is a must as you continually improve the customer experience. You will be required to utilize and build tools that monitor customer/supplier behavior and ensure efficiency through asset utilization, network optimization and supply growth.
What you will do
- Establish and grow Miso’s moving business.
- Manage and lead supplier acquisition, engagement and retention while working closely with product/engineering and marketing.
- Heavy metrics analysis and product/process improvement.
- Communicate product/process needs, work with product/engineering to deliver on them.
- Define and implement launch of new customer and supplier facing products.
What you need
- Startup (all-hands-on-deck) “I work hard because I love it” approach with the ability to get things done.
- 3 years of operational/analytical experience gained in consulting, investment banking, etc..
- Strong people management skills, you set the tone for your business.
- Data driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking.
