Me and Todoist in 60 Seconds
I’m a fan of Todoist. As a matter of fact, I’m one of the first to be granted access to the Todoist Ambassador program.
Yet as Todoist rolled out its stats for my Year in Review, I wasn’t in the Top 1% of users this year. Others made that cut this year — as I’ve done before. But not me. Not this year.
I know why that’s the case, too.
I don’t put all of my tasks in Todoist any longer.
Habits don’t go in Todoist. Tasks that come to me while I’m working off of my paper planner don’t go in Todoist. Some tasks that come in through email don’t go in Todoist (instead the get assigned to myself or a team member in Front).
The sheer volume of things going into Todoist has decreased over the past year. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love using Todoist. It just means I don’t use it for as much, which actually makes me more productive because the right things are the only things that are in Todoist.
I’m willing to take a one percent drop because that one percent difference has helped me live an even more productive life.
