Every day, I read my RSS feeds as part of my morning routine. My aim is to find things that will either make my day better or make me better. Sometimes I find something that does both. There are 5 blogs in particular that seem to hit both aims consistently.
1. Austin Kleon
It was through reading Austin’s work that I recognized regardless of how short or simple a daily blog post is, it’s okay. Not every blog post has to be a thousand words. I’ve been a fan of his work for years, and any books he puts out, I’ll buy. I don’t miss a post of his, and it’s through the process of reading his daily posts that I’ve become better.
2. Farnam Street
I’ve long been a fan of Shane Parrish’s work and am now a monetary supporter of Farnam Street. While Farnam Street may not publish daily, I devour every piece that gets published and make regular trips into the back catalog now that I’m a member of the site’s learning community. I’d say that most of my archived Instapaper posts are written by Farnam Street. That way I can go back and review anything to see if I missed some insights the first time around – likely because I wasn’t ready to find them yet.
