The Moment You’ve Waited For
“Ladies and gents, this is the moment you’ve waited for…”
This is the first line from the song The Greatest Show. While I’m not a fan of the real-life version of P.T. Barnum, I am a fan of this movie inspired by his life, The Greatest Showman. There’s just something about it that gets to me. Same with the television show The Good Place, and movies like The Legend of Bagger Vance and About Time.
There are moments in each of them that pull me in, grab my attention, and create some deeper thoughts within me. I don’t watch much television these days but when I do, it’s usually because something is on that I believe will have moments that do this to me – and for me.
Now I couldn’t tell you at what point in each of these movies or what episodes of The Good Place I have this happen to/for me. The moments are wrapped up in the minutes. And that happens to things outside of films and tv shows. It happens in everyday life.
Every single day you’ll have moments that get wrapped up – and even hidden – in the minutes. When you pay attention, you’ll have a better chance of noticing them – and then letting them in so they can further resonate with you. So I encourage you to do your best to find moments within the minutes of the day.
Pay attention. Notice them. Do that and it’ll make every day better.
