The Power of a Daily Theme

There’s a reason I set aside one day of the week where my overarching focus is Family.

Now let me be clear — my family is more important to me than anything else. But there are moments where the demands of the world can cast a long shadow. A shadow that can even overwhelm my thoughts on family.

That’s why I have a Daily Theme for Family.

I want to ensure that at least one day of the week that my family — which includes friends — get my focus and attention above all else.

The Daily Theme serves as a reminder that I cannot lose sight of what’s most important to me. The people in my life. My system showcases them in this way, but they are absolutely more important than the system that does its part to draw my attention to them.

What would happen if I didn’t have that Daily Theme in place? Honestly, I think the other things would fall apart before my devotion and attention to family. That’s why I keep them in place.

So whether or not you follow my lead and have themes for your days or just want to make sure that you don’t lose sight of the things that are most important to you, put something in place. Own it. Make it yours.

Then follow through. Do whatever it takes. No matter what.
