You and Your Netflix Queue

You open up Netflix on your device of choice. You’ve got this feature — we all do — called “My List” that features all of the things you decided you wanted to watch eventually.

Yet you scroll through the other lists first.

You know, the genres Netflix thinks you’ll like. The things Netflix wants you to watch. The list showcasing things you’ll probably like because you liked something else that may or may not be somewhat like the things they’re showcasing.

Do you scroll endlessly, searching for what Netflix has to offer you? Or do you go to the list you have built over time to see what you wanted to offer yourself later on?

What do you do?

I believe, like I do with Facebook, that you should go into Netflix with missions rather than questions.

You built that list for a reason. You’ve filled it with “media-viewing” missions. So make it the first thing you check when you fire up Netflix.
