Abridge News joins global network of startups

Boston, MA, 05/30/2018 Abridge News, a digital media platform that gets people out of their echo chambers, announced that it has been invited to participate in the 2018 MassChallenge Boston accelerator program. Selected from more than 1,600 promising startups across industries and regions around the world, Abridge News will join the most competitive cohort to date.

According to Abridge News cofounder Laura Carpenter, “MassChallenge was established to accelerate startups that can have a large societal impact. At Abridge News, our mission is to increase empathy and critical thinking in the world by promoting diverse perspectives. This couldn’t be a more perfect fit.”

As part of the 2018 cohort, Abridge News will have unrivaled access to top corporate partners, expert mentorship, tailored curriculum, scholarship opportunities, and more than 26,000 square-feet of co-working space in Boston’s Innovation and Design Building — all at zero cost and for zero equity. At the culmination of the four-month program, Abridge News will also have a chance to compete for shares of $1.5M in case prizes at the MassChallenge Awards on October 17th.
