The Collab19 project started as many Ethereum communities start, in a telegram group.

Find the OG Collab19 here.

In early March, thousands of people came together in groups on telegram to help each other tackle COVid-19.

At the same time, our team was building a DAO Ops system for Aragon on Mainnet. For those less familiar, you can think of “DAO Ops” as a way to add a community bank to your social media groups.

State of the Collab

An overview of the broader system and motivations, developed during the YNG Hackathon.

Since launch, the Collab19 has gathered more than $2000 in donations and proposals are beginning to trickle in from a variety of initiatives around the world. We’re working with people across 5 continents who are submitting proposals and participating in the community.

Measures are taken with each proposal to define how the outcome will be tracked and who is accountable. Three steps are involved:

  1. submit to the forum
  2. submit a signal proposal
  3. submit a funding proposal

Find more detail in this thread👇.

While anyone can submit a proposal to the forum, only members can vote and submit voting proposals. We focused on making membership as straight forward as possible when creating this system. Simply find @Collab19_bot on telegram, hit /start, and then follow the Join Membership button to upload ETH into your account and donate to the relief fund.

Once you donate, you’ll be granted a membership token and can partake in the members only chat, voting, and submitting proposals.
