Poker Face Chapter One: Unexpected Answers
A game of truths reveals unexpected answers.
“I can’t believe you said that!” Joshua shouted at me.
“Don’t yell at me!” I shot back at him.
“What kind of wife says that!” Joshua was furious, and his face was turning red.
“Not my fault you and your beer friends invited me to play poker with you,” I shrugged.
I was sitting on the couch staring at him as he paced back and forth like a caged animal.
“You could have said no!”
“I did; you were the one that told me to have fun and play with you guys.”
“So, this is my fault?”
“If the shoe fits, I was going to go to the bedroom and stay there, you insisted that I come and play with the guys!”
Joshua was mad that the game had turned into a stare down, and then the guys kept trying to keep the conversation PG, since a woman was playing, and I told them I could talk as bad as them.
Joshua had no problem with that; it wasn’t until the guys started talking about fantasies and things they wished they had done or could do.
Since all four men were married, they didn’t want to talk bad about their wives. Two of the wives I knew…
