Poker Face Chapter Two: Not A Bluff
Debra calls on two bluffs in one night. How will she fare?
“Well?” I asked, standing in front of the men as they stared at each other.
Joshua had told me that I couldn’t go out looking the way I did. He even tried to put his foot down in front of his friends as they played poker.
I laughed at then asked him about the bachelor party they had a few weeks ago.
“Answer?” I smiled with my hand on my hip. “Cat got your tongue?”
They were about to lie and say nothing had happened at the bachelor party, but I reminded them that one of the strippers was in my dance class. I was still holding my phone in my hand with the stripper’s face and phone number ready to dial.
They knew what they did, and she had proof. “Go ahead, I dare you to lie!” I looked at them.
My husband stared at me. “Didn’t think so,” I put my phone away. “Now, I am going out, and I will lie and say that it’s just to see a friend, but I will do what any of you would do,” I turned to face Joshua. “I am going to see Blake, and you know how he feels about me.”
