What is Company Culture?

Company culture is not the number of fun parties you throw for your team or the company paid lunches your team had. It is also not about the unlimited free coffee you offer or the PlayStation installed in the cafeteria. They are merely the elements of your office culture and can not be confused with the culture itself.

Company culture is deeply rooted in empathy and accountability towards one’s employees. The degree of which reflects in policies, frameworks, infrastructure, communication, etc.

If you can’t support and empathize with employees when they need it the most (e.g, forced office working during covid19), no amount of free donuts and fun activities will stop them from leaving the organization.
