I have yet to find a person who hasn’t been abused at least a little, somewhere, at some point in their lives.
AbuseRD is a place for people to discuss abuse, abusive behaviors, and ways to heal from the mental health virus that is abuse — regardless of which side of the power struggle one is on. Abuse is the knife that cuts the user. None of us are immune, and all of us are affected.

Walking The AbuseRD
Many of us don’t know all the ways abuse can manifest. Beyond overtly violent behaviors, there are subtle manipulations, mental abuse, and “accepted” behaviors we take for granted. The more we call out these behaviors for what they are, the better off we will be.
Yet this isn’t all about the trauma. I want to make that very clear. AbuseRD is about rising above the pain to create a better life.
