Acadian Ventures is proud to introduce our summer internship program and welcome Jaya Bonelli, Trenton Johnson, Andrew Lee, Jack McClelland, and Megan Wei. We are thrilled to have them part of our our inaugural internship program.

Jaya Bonelli, McGill University, Class of 2022

Jaya is a fourth-year undergraduate student at McGill University, finishing up a degree in Math, Philosophy and Computer Science. After interning at a venture capital firm in Paris over the summer of 2019, she soon realized she wanted to discover more of the world of entrepreneurship. This led her to join Front Row Ventures, which is Canada’s first student-led VC firm making pre-seed investments in student startups. As a member of the investment team, she meets with entrepreneurs across Quebec, evaluates deals, and makes investment decisions. Jaya’s experiences in VC made her realize her passion in allying entrepreneurship and ethics, startups and social good. This is one of the many reasons she’s very excited to start the summer program at Acadian Ventures, where she can continue to explore her interest in making a strong, positive, “human” impact through Future of Work companies!

Trenton Johnson, Yale University, Class of 2023

Trenton is a rising Junior at Yale University studying computer science from Oakland, California. As the President and Founder of the Hillhouse Undergraduate Fund at Yale, a student organization aimed at helping students explore the world of VC while supporting the startup ideas of fellow Yalies with pre-seed funding. Trenton is well connected throughout the entrepreneurial community at Yale and he has a passion for helping startup founders grow their companies. He hopes to carry this passion over to Acadian Ventures, where he is excited to join the Summer Program and gain more experience with VC. He has previous experience interning at Oracle and serves as a startup expert for Pariti, a platform focused on developing underserved startup ecosystems throughout Africa. Trenton is a member of the varsity football team at Yale and enjoys cooking, traveling, and watching sports

Andrew Lee, Columbia University, Class of 2022

Andrew is a junior at Columbia University majoring in financial economics. He is heavily involved in the Columbia entrepreneurial ecosystem through various initiatives, including the Almaworks Accelerator and Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs. Previously, he interned at G220 Ventures and H2 Ventures, and he also has investment banking experience at JP Morgan as well as consulting experience at Deloitte. Andrew is excited about pursuing a career in venture capital and private equity and is passionate about supporting founders from diverse backgrounds. In his free time, Andrew enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading mystery novels, watching Netflix and horror movies, and traveling the world.

Jack McClelland, Boston College, Class of 2022

Jack is a former founder and rising senior at Boston College studying Computer Science and Finance. He has experience at a half-dozen seed-stage, venture-backed, and unicorn startups including CrowdStrike and Eightfold as well as over a half-dozen VC firms including Accel and Battery Ventures. Jack is from the San Francisco Bay Area and is a proud Eagle Scout ’15, and is a huge fan of all things outdoors (camping, skiing, scuba) and music (concerts, DJ’ing, producing).

Megan Wei, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Class of 2022

Megan is a rising senior at Massachusetts Institute of Technology studying Computer Science and Business Analytics. She is a Managing Director at MIT Capital Partners and spearheads initiatives to empower student founders while sourcing startups from the MIT ecosystem. Previously, she interned twice at Microsoft as a Software Engineer and Program Manager. She is actively involved in research in the areas of natural language processing, computer vision, and embodied intelligence in MIT CSAIL. Megan is passionate about the intersection of product, technology, and innovation, which drew her into VC. For fun, Megan likes to learn and improvise music on the cello, piano, and ukulele and travel around the world to learn new languages, explore museums, and try new cuisines.
