SubWallet Now Supports Acala, Bringing aUSD Minting, NFT Features, and a User-Friendly Experience

We’re excited to integrate SubWallet, a user-friendly wallet for Polkadot and Kusama (Dotsama), into the Acala ecosystem! SubWallet is the first extension wallet in the Dotsama ecosystem to support Acala and Karura NFTs, providing a seamless experience for managing Acala assets anytime, anywhere. Users can connect their SubWallet to Acala and Karura and easily mint aUSD to leverage additional DeFi functionality.

Meet SubWallet: Making Dotsama Approachable

Polkadot and Kusama enjoy robust security, shared amongst multiple blockchain ecosystems, with strong expectations of consistent growth. However, its DApps are limited, and more importantly, a native wallet good enough to attract users and facilitate their experience in the ecosystem was yet to exist. While managing the Dotsama and Web3-centric community, SubWallet received complaints about approaching the ecosystem from members, and that’s why SubWallet was born.

SubWallet is built on top of Polkadot.js and focuses on improving user experience by enabling easier user access and interaction with Web3 applications running on the Substrate Framework. SubWallet integrates the Polkadot.js security backbone while improving on the drawbacks, including but not limited to:

The aUSD Pipeline for Dotsama

If aUSD is the lifeblood of Dotsama, then SubWallet can serve as a pipeline pumping blood throughout the ecosystems. SubWallet aims to support users who deposit their aUSD to Dotsama applications once XCM is live. XCM is Polkadot’s cross-consensus messaging format that allows parachains to send messages, not only on Polkadot but to Kusama parachains as well. SubWallet will utilize XCM’s messaging capabilities to maximize aUSD issuance and facilitate user activities on the Polkadot and Kusama networks.

SubWallet already supports assets on both Acala and Karura and facilitates Acala and Karura’s NFTs. SubWallet provides a great user experience, enhances Acala assets’ usability, and allows users to manage their crowdloan contributions.

SubWallet’s aUSD integration allows users to easily connect with Acala and Karura Apps to mint aUSD. It will continue collaborating with Acala to integrate additional wallet features, including aUSD staking and farming, for greater yields.

SubWallet Records Organic Community Growth

Since launching in February, SubWallet has built a steadily growing community across several social media platforms, including Twitter, Telegram, and Discord. After nearly two months of launching the Beta version, SubWallet has over 2,000 organic users globally and continues to grow strongly. Upon the launch of imminent multiple marketing activities, SubWallet expects renewed growth shortly.
