Since 2017, the annual British Podcast Awards (BPAs) have celebrated the best pods Britain has to offer. With a diverse range of categories to suit most podcasts, entering is a smart way to get your show’s name in lights — and entry to the 2021 awards is open right now.

Acast is no stranger to the BPAs. Last year our shows — including Sh**ged. Married. Annoyed., The Log Books, the Guardian’s Today in Focus and Brown Girls Do It Too — scooped 15 of the 25 Gold awards on offer, and 38 of the total 72 awards that were up for grabs.

Nominees and winners not only get recognition for all their hard work from peers and listeners, but the press coverage and features that come with it can also open new doors in terms of sponsorships and guests — not to mention boosting listener figures.

Entry is open to any podcast that has released at least six episodes in the past year, but you’ll need to create an audio submission that wows the judges. Luckily we know a few.

Acast is part of the judging panel every year, so we asked five previous Acast judges for their top tips. Anyone can enter, but how do you win?

Entries are open until Monday, March 29 at midday. Go to britishpodcastawards.com.
