Accelerate This! Government as Social Innovator Event
Held in Los Angeles on May 1, in conjunction with the Summit on Government Performance and Innovation, Accelerate This! Government as Social Innovator is a special presentation of City Accelerator, an initiative led by Living Cities and supported by the Citi Foundation that helps to accelerate the adoption of innovations within and across local governments.
Come hear a panel of America’s dynamic, leading mayors discuss the value of private investment to public innovation and problem-solving. Facilitated by Minneapolis Foundation President and former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, three mayors will engage in a lively discussion on how “municipal innovation” is really “social innovation.”
Accelerate This! Government as Social Innovator will also feature fast-paced presentations from four top-performing cities on proven innovations that can have a large-scale impact on the way local government works. From using behavioral insights to improve city programs, to engaging traditionally disenfranchised communities for a more responsive and collaborative city, to leveraging public-private partnership for public sector infrastructure, or using private dollars to finance prototyping, these are innovations any city can adopt today.
