No one knows who pulled the trigger before the bullet hit Sarah Bonner.

The Skip J Gun Range is the place where everyone brings their gun and shoots their gun in Anderson, South Carolina. Mattie Smith was standing right there when her best friend Sarah Bonner was shot in the head.

She said she could not figure out how the bullet got in Sarah’s head.

“I don’t think we need to point fingers or anything of that sort. I was standing right there and I can’t even explain it,” she said to Matt Johnson who held the microphone for Channel 2.

The Gwinnett County coroner ruled Sarah Bonner’s death an accident, while South Carolina authorities said their investigation remained open, as they tried to determine where the bullet came from.
