Each October, Show Racism the Red Card holds Wear Red Day.

The national day of action aims to encourage businesses, schools and individuals to wear red and donate £1 to help facilitate the delivery of anti-racism education throughout the UK.

And this year, the event is taking place in England and Wales tomorow — Friday 19 October. Scotland has already taken part (5 October).

Accord is calling on all its members to show their support for the campaign and help challenge racism in society.

There are a number of ways you can get involved…

  • Take a selfie with the “I am supporting Wear Red Day card” here and share on social media. Make sure you use the hashtag #WRD18.
  • Wear something red for the day — it can be as subtle as wearing a red socks.
  • Organise an event on the day — either a bake sale or a coffee morning.
  • Make a donation — every £1 received can make a real difference. Visit the JustGiving page
  • Spread the word and use the hashtag #WRD18 on any social media posts.

You can download the full fundraising pack here.
