Sexual Innuendos in children’s entertainment

Children’s entertainment is just that, entertainment, but it’s not necessarily for just children. Most children’s movies and TV shows have many sexual innuendos that children don’t understand. With the inappropriate nature of these TV shows and movies, it causes controversy among parents. Many parents don’t allow their children to watch these kinds of movies and TV shows because they find them unsuitable for children.

Shrek is best known for its unconventional take of many fairy tales. Shrek is also known for the many sexual jokes throughout the film series. Children’s innocent minds love this movie because they see a cartoon and talking animals, but this movie is also loved by many adults because of how crude the humor is.

The popular Nickelodeon show, Spongebob Squarepants, is very famously known for the hidden sexual jokes during many of the 30 minute episodes. Children don’t realize what is going on or the deeper meaning of what is being said. As kids grow up and continue watching the show, they tend to understand more as the show goes on and just how inappropriate it is. Many parents don’t allow their children to watch Spongebob because of how many sexual innuendos and the inappropriate nature of the TV show, although their kids may not understand what is actually being said. Parents don’t want their children subjected to that kind of comedy that the show has.

The Looney Tunes is a classic TV show that many children and adults love. The series has been around for many years, starting in the 1930’s with new remakes and spin off series as years have went on. The show isn’t well-known as having sexual jokes, it’s known as being a family-friendly TV show. Although there are a couple of hidden innuendos throughout the series.
