Wow, October went fast! It’s been been an exciting month. Here what we’ve been up to…

Nigerian Economic Summit

Also in October we practiced our pitching skills. On the 23rd Nigerian Economic Summit, Accounteer emerged as first runner-up. Securing a $10,000 grant and free advisory services from Accenture. Above all we’re happy with the acknowledgment from Nigerian leaders on the value Accounteer brings to SME’s.

GITEX

We were honored to be selected as one of the ten most promising startups to represent Nigeria on the GITEX conference in Dubai. It was a great opportunity to expand our international network.

mPOS

We can hardly keep up with the demand to participate in our mPOS beta test. There is a general discontent with the current point of sale solutions, and many merchants are dying to see what Accounteer has to offer. The development of the application is in it’s final stages. Over the course of the coming weeks we’ll start distribution of the hardware to the first beta testers.

The Accounteer POS solution offers many advantages over the current providers:

• The POS app is smart. It does more than just collecting payments. You have access to rich reports that give you a detailed view on how your business is performing.
• You can collect customers details, send digital receipts and personalized offers. Your POS device now became a valuable marketing tool.

• The POS app is included in the Enterprise subscription of Accounteer. That’s right, you won’t pay anything extra for using the application.

Team

Recent growth demanded more manpower. In the past month three new members were added to the team bringing the total up to nine. Gboyega and Kehinde will reinforce the development team. Stephanie is a recent accounting graduate. As part of the customer success team she will help new customers get started and assist with the more technical accounting questions.
