September was quite an important month for us, and the focus shown by the team members amidst a hectic schedule was simply amazing.

Ventures Platform Demo Day

Our Acceleration program at Ventures Platform came to an end this September with the Demo Day in Lagos on the 15th. During our time at Ventures Platform, we more than doubled our user base and increased our staff strength to cope with our growth.

All new this September

SimplePay Integration

Due to increasing requests from our users, SimplePay payment gateway users can now integrate their payment gateway directly onto their invoices, in addition to Paystack, DusuPay and Mollie.

GTBank GAPS

After weeks of testing, bank transaction import of GTBank GAPS accounts is now live. It’s a valuable feature for our users as 9 out of 10 want to connect their bank accounts directly to enable them to have a seamless bank reconciliation. Support for GTBank GAPS accounts is just the first type of Nigerian bank accounts we’ll support. Other banks will be added in the coming weeks. Feel free to reach out to have your bank activated.

Data Import

Switching accounting software can be a painstaking process. That’s why we’ve been working on data import functionality to make the transition from another platform a breeze. You can now import contacts, inventory items and invoices with a single click. If you need some help moving your data to Accounteer, you can always contact our support team. We provide a free migration service.

Entrepreneur in the spotlight

Entrepreneurs are the backbone of the economy. To support business owners we launched our “Entrepreneur in the spotlight” campaign. Each week we feature one of our users on our blog and social media channels. You can already read the story of GeroCare, MyPadi and LastPrice.

If you want to feature your business, you can submit your profile here.

And this summarises our month at Accounteer! We love to end each update with a question, and we love learning from you all:

What do you call expenses (purchases, bills, costs etc.) and why?

Be sure to let us know in the comments!
Thanks so much for reading and we can’t end this update without wishing our Nigerian family a Happy Independence celebration!

The Accounteer team

P.S. It’s your feedback and ideas that enable us to lay the roadmap and product strategy for Accounteer. If you have any ideas for new features, questions on existing ones, or just want to say hello, do not hesitate to reach out to us @Accounteer, team@accounteer.com, the comment section, or if you’re near any of our offices feel free to drop by for a cup of coffee with any of our team members.
