Candidate experience is super important to Accurx and we’re no strangers to how hard applying for jobs can be. We believe that every candidate that applies for a role at Accurx should have an equitable and inclusive experience and every opportunity to succeed in our process, regardless of whether you receive an offer or not! ⭐️

Have you seen a role that’s piqued your interest? Whether you’re applying to one of our Engineering roles or whether you’re looking to join our User Support team, we’ve put together a guide to job applications at Accurx 😎

Step 1

Read the job advert. 📗 We take time to ensure that each candidate is painted a true picture of what it’s like to work in that specific role so carefully curate our job adverts. It’s also your guide on what skills and experience you’ll need as well as tips on how to make your application successful.

Step 2

Tailor your CV! ✍️ There’s no one-size-fits-all solution for ‘the perfect CV’ but standout candidates are ones that have carefully read the job advert and tailored their CV accordingly, highlighting key areas and examples where they have performed the responsibilities previously or how each skill can be translated. Ultimately, if you’re describing yourself as “dynamic”, “competent” or “hardworking” it’s important you’re able to show this in your experience and examples. In the same breath, try not to overcomplicate it and keep it in a nice easy to read format. 👏

Step 3

Application questions. These don’t matter right? 👀 Incorrect. We don’t ask these questions for the fun of it, we genuinely take the time to read each response! We ask these questions to work out how well you align to our mission and the role we’re hiring for, as well as to give another opportunity to candidates to showcase their skills beyond just a CV. Our values are key in who Accurx are and what we stand for and so we want to know if you think the same.

The application questions are your first opportunity to impress and exhibit a genuine passion for what we’re doing. Do take time to think about your answers and ensure you actually answer the question. We ask “Why are you interested in working at Accurx?” for every role. In your answer we hope to see you have done a little research into us and most importantly can explain why what you’ve discovered resonates with you. 🥇

Top tips from our Talent team

  • Spelling and grammar! Make sure to double check, triple check and check again before submitting. Don’t be afraid to use tools like grammarly if spelling isn’t your forte. Better still, ask a friend to proofread!
  • Tailor your CV and application to the specific role and its responsibilities.
  • We don’t ask you to submit a cover letter so we’d much prefer you put time and effort into the application questions. Use them to show your genuine interest to the role and let your tailored CV do the rest of the talking.
  • Try using CV templates. There’s plenty around online.
  • Make sure you actually answer the application question! 😉
