Introducing⊠our new Candidate Hub! Our new-look, one-stop shop for candidates throughout our interview process and beyond.
Going through an interview process can be a bit of a step into the unknown.
Whatâs the process like? Who will I meet? What does this company stand for? The questions are endless but we hope our Candidate Hub will go some way to making it a less stressful, more informative experience for all.
Letâs start with the âwhyâ
Our Employee Handbook has been around for quite some time, created when we were about 10 employees! We realised in 2019 that it could be useful to people beyond Accufolk so we made some of the content public with the idea of showcasing our company values, policies and the work weâre doing. But things grow quickly here at Accurx and over time as weâve grown, so has the Employee Handbook.
So you spoke and we listened. From talking to candidates, we realised there were a number of issues with our Employee Handbook that needed to be addressed. Links were missing, blocked pages were appearing â it was information overload. Essentially the handbook wasnât fulfilling its purpose to inform and support candidates throughout our hiring process.
With one of our core values at Accurx being Continuous Improvement, we as a team decided it was time to put our heads together. We chose to figure out how we could continue to capture all of this super helpful information in a way that would give candidates a better experience, and ultimately help them move through our the content without any blockers or hassle.
So⊠without further ado, we bring to you our brand new âCandidate Hubâ.
What were the aims?
- To provide candidates with a dedicated hub in order to access all the information they need throughout our hiring process.
- To make a more accessible hub, to allow you to move through the pages more easily and without being blocked by private pages.
- To build on our employer brand and showcase our amazing teams and whatâs at the heart of our company culture.
How did we do it?
A lot of thought went into this â it didnât just appear overnight!
We first started by auditing the current resources available, taking a birdâs eye view of the handbook and putting ourselves in the shoes of prospective candidates.
We asked ourselves: âWhatâs useful here?â, âWhat would I want to know more about if I was applying again?â. Finally, we spoke to candidates, collecting feedback about their experiences of using the Employee Handbook. After all, this is designed for candidates, so we wanted their input!
Then, it was time to divide and conquer and put our vision into action.
So whatâs new?
Largely, we have repurposed and arranged the most important pages into a new hub that is intended for candidates use only. This is so we can share the most relevant information all in one place to help candidates succeed and feel comfortable throughout our interview process.
There are 3 main sections of the hub:
Our Company â Our values, our culture, why do I want to work at Accurx?
Our Hiring Process â An insight to each of the teams and the skills and attributes we look for in every hire.
Interviewing â âHow do I find the office?â, reasonable adjustments, your checklist for success.
Alongside this, weâve made sure to add some new and exciting features. These allow prospective talent to get to know some of the hiring team and Accufolk they are likely to meet throughout the interview process, along with clear descriptions of what skills youâre being assessed on at each stage.
Hereâs just a snapshot of some of our favourite new additions:
