Candidate experience is super important to accuRx. We believe all candidates who apply for a role with accuRx should have a positive experience regardless of whether they are successful. We have decided to write a blog post on what we look for in CV’s to give you as a candidate a better chance of standing out from the crowd when applying for a role with us! 😎

When applying for a new role, you should never underestimate the power your application/CV holds. Your CV and the time you have put into your application is what sets you apart from other candidates 🤩

Talent Team’s top tips when submitting your CV/application to accuRx 🤓 ✨

1) Mission Driven

Everything we do should contribute to making patients healthier, staff happier and health systems more efficient.

On almost every job we advertise, we ask specific questions on the application relevant to the role the candidate is applying for. We think this is an excellent opportunity for the candidate to tell us exactly why they are passionate about joining accuRx. Not only does this demonstrate how much research a candidate has done, it also explains the why behind their application and why working for a health tech company is important to them. We don’t ask these questions for the fun of it, we genuinely spend time reading each response! Please make sure you take your time writing your answers as it will show us qualities we would look for in the role.

2) Always Collaborating

We optimise for team success over individual success. Everyone’s problems are my problems.

In order to achieve our mission to improve communication within healthcare, we all have to work collaboratively. When reviewing CV’s, we want to read about your experience working within a team. It’s important to us that all prospective candidates are strong team players🤝

3) Kaizen (AKA Continuous Improvement)

We’re always iterating to make things better: culture, processes, products… When things don’t work out as planned, we learn from it. These improvements are everyone’s responsibility, from the day they join.

On your CV, tell us about the things you are currently doing to help with personal development. Perhaps you are completing a specific course, reading a book or even doing some volunteering work! It’s also an opportunity for you to tell us about any internal ways of working you have helped to improve in the work place. As an example, coaching your peers on how to give constructive feedback amongst the team.

4) Responsible Ownership

We take pride in our work, individually and as a team, and act responsibly, even when nobody is watching. We’re problem solvers with a bias for action, who love a good challenge. We don’t cut corners when it comes to security, safety or quality.

If you are telling us about a specific project that you have worked on, we aren’t just looking for you to talk about the successes. We want to read about what didn’t go so well and what you have learnt through these failures. At accuRx, we think it’s super important to reflect and learn from our mistakes so we understand what we could do better next time!

5) Balance

We know that we do our best work when we’re healthy and happy outside of work

You can demonstrate balance by including your hobbies and interests on your CV! This a great way for the team to get to know you that little bit better. We really believe in a good work/life balance and encourage all accuFolk to put time into their hobbies and passions outside of work.

All the hard work we do to support the NHS will be wasted if we do not prioritise our own health! — mental and physical.

Dos & Don’ts when writing your CV/application

✅ Check your spelling/grammar

✅ Ask a friend to proof read your CV/application before submitting it

✅ Tailor your CV to suit the role you are specifically applying for

❌ Don’t over complicate your CV. Make sure your CV is easy to read.

Tip: Use a CV template (you can find these easily online!)

❌ Don’t submit a generic cover letter. We are only interested in seeing a cover letter if this tells us something we can’t get from your CV and application questions. (we don’t expect candidates to submit a cover letter with their application but if you do choose to write one, make sure it is personalised to accuRx)
