I’m a big fan of the Casio vintage watches. It’s not expensive, functional, good design, and fits my small wrist really well. One of the newest watches from the vintage collection is the Casio A100.

The watch comes from the Casio F-100 designs from 1978 worn by the main character from the movie Alien. The F-100 case was black plastic but the new version A100 is resin with metallic plated. The watch really uses the sharp shape design with the futuristic look if you are from the past. It’s like the Apple watch but with buttons on the dial and a sharper edge case. While the functional is remain basic just clock without 24h time, day date month, stopwatch, daily alarm, hourly signal, and the best illuminator backlight. The thickness of the case is 9.2mm, 32.7mm wide, and 40.7mm high, 53 grams. 30m water resistance. The size and the weight are perfectly comfortable. I chose the silver case one with the positive digital display for the best readability. The stainless steel band was easy to adjust and super light comfortable to wear if you have no wrist hair like me.

The major downside of this watch is the price of $54.95 MSRP. It is a little expensive for a simple digital watch and more expensive for the gold or black model at $74.95. I bought my silver one from a local online store for around $40 with a simple paper box. The price is more reasonable but most of the store sells more than the MSRP which is too expensive. I can buy a real mechanical watch with Japanese movement, stainless steel case, and sapphire crystal glass for around $60 price on AliExpress but It will not have the historical design like this Casio A100. If you like to buy this watch just look around or wait a bit for the best price. I suggest you check other Casio vintage watches too e.g. A500 World Time watch, A700 Super slim watch, AQ230 Dual time digital + analog watch.
