Interesting Da Lat city
Da Lat is a city of Lam Dong Province in Vietnam. The city is located 1,500 meters above sea level on the Lam Vien Plateau in the south.

“Cool” weather
The weather there is so amazing. With a year-round cool climate, Da Lat is always one of the perfect destinations for a getaway trip from the areas of hot climates such as the south of Vietnam or the hot summer in the north. In the morning, it’s a little chilly and cloudy like in spring. At noon, the temperature rises a bit, and the shinning sun brings the warm summer. In the afternoon, autumn comes with cool air. Now, we need thin coats, blazers or cardigan because the weather becomes colder and colder when the day finishes. I suggest preparing warm clothes if you want to visit Da Lat. There are four seasons on a day, which is similar to Sa Pa. I think some people see that crazy but with me, that is awesome.
Singular city
Da Lat is the “Three No” city.
- First, there are no traffic lights. Da Lat is in the plateau with uneven terrain so vehicles transfer easily without traffic lights. And if you don’t like the chaotic traffic in Ha Noi or Ho Chi Minh city, then you should go to Da Lat because the roads here aren’t crowded.
- Second, there are no air conditioners. With a year-round cool climate, the weather isn’t too hot or too cold so air conditioners are unnecessary.
- Third, there are no cyclos. It’s impossible to ride cyclo in that landscape.
“Love city”
Da Lat has locations which are associated with love stories such as Langbiang peak, Valley of Love or pick glass hills. If you want to know the stories, you have to come here, local people will tell you. And if you love flowers, Valley of Love is a perfect place for you. It has hydrangea flowers, roses, golden everlasting flowers, etc. Also, pick glass hills is places you can’t miss. But I don’t share it with you. Let’s explore for yourselves.

“Ghost city”
Da Lat is called not only “love city” but also “ghost city”. Those are contradictory, one’s wonderful and one’s terrible but both of them are real. When I traveled to Da Lat, I was told that many mansions are abandoned around the central of Da Lat. A mansions is a large impressive house so why is it abandoned? And why so many? If you can, dicover them for yourself.
