Waiting for your apple 🍏

I was becoming impatient with an area of my life and wanted some hard, concrete answers.

(As all control freaks kinda do haha 😂)

-

It’s like having a piece of fruit growing on a tree.

You know that fruit has your name on it; it may be that passion project you’re working on, that person you’re developing a relationship with or that conversation you’ve been stewing over.

-

Yes, we know it has our name on it, we know it’s a part of your future, a part of our destiny. You really wanna pick it and eat it, but WAIT…is it the right time???

-

Sometimes, we become so impatient and pick that apple off the tree before it’s ready. The fruit has so much potential, but there is a time to take action and a time to leave it to grow and develop on its own.

-

If you pick it too early, without giving the apple a chance to ripen, it will leave a sour and bitter taste in your mouth. Sure, the apple is still an apple, but when it’s plucked from its source of growth, it can’t live up to its full potential.

-

Sometimes the best thing for us to do is leave the apple alone. Let it ripen. You’ll know the time when to take action. Trust your journey and your heart.

-

Nothing you can do can make an apple ripen quicker. There is a process and a journey that apple has to go through before it’s ready to be fulfil its part on your story.

-

Trust in the journey. Take pleasure in waiting. Make the most of the waiting time; ensure you are the person you need to be to prepare yourself for that apple.

-

Stop rushing the apple tree and start focusing on the growth of your own life. God’s got you waiting because He knows there is a time and season for everything.

-

Have faith in the process.

That apple is yours. But don’t go stopping it’s growth by becoming greedy and picking it before its time. Let nature take its course and do its job.

-

Love this thought…“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” Lao Tzu

-

(This is one of those weird picture words I get in my head…it makes sense to me anyway haha, hope you can make sense out of it and apply it to your life too!)
