Singlism Is Officially in the Dictionary Now
It defines the stereotyping and stigmatizing of people who are single.
Coined by Dr. Bella DePaulo, the word singlism has just been officially added to the Cambridge English Dictionary. The definition in the dictionary reads as follows:
Singlism: unfair treatment of people who are single (= not married).
