The panel discussion was the highlight of the event and included professionals such as Darlington Akogo (Founder, CEO, Director of Artificial Intelligence — GUDRA, minoHealth, and Runmila AI Institute), Felicia Quarm (Electrical Engineer — Power Distribution Services Ghana Ltd.) Lauretta Atobra (Completions Engineer — Tullow Oil), Chester Avenorgbo (CEO — The Bag Spa), Ama Edjah (Treasurer — Millicom Ghana (AirtelTigo), Genevieve Puni (Director/HR Practitioner — RecTrain Services Ltd.), Kafui Dey (Master of Ceremonies and Media Communications Professional — Dey Marketing Ventures), and Natalie Fort (News Anchor — TV3), who shared personal experiences and lessons from their career journeys to inspire and encourage students to work toward realizing their aspirations.

The Academic City team emphasized the institution’s holistic approach toward preparing students to be future-ready leaders who will remain globally competitive and relevant in a career of their choice.

Students were given the opportunity to interact and network with Academic City’s students, faculty and staff over barbeque and refreshments to learn about the programs the school offers, life on campus, internship opportunities, and other opportunities designed to harness their creative minds. They also played several outdoor games including a soccer board game played with dice created by Frindo Soccer that aims to introduce players to concepts in probability theory and advanced mathematics in an engaging and interesting way.

As Academic City prepares to organize its next Open Day on August 2019 ahead of the new academic year, prospective students and parents are encouraged to visit the campus’ website to learn more about the school and apply to join the incoming Class of 2023.
